There is no single answer for every material

The term “alkaline cleaner” is not enough to confirm compatibility with aluminium or a particular coating. Establish the material, finish and the component manufacturer's recommendations before choosing a product.

CL 201: a discrepancy requiring clarification

The CL 201 technical data sheet includes aluminium parts among its applications. However, section 10.5 of the safety data sheet, version 9.02 of 27 September 2022, lists aluminium as an incompatible material. We do not overlook this conflict or treat marketing text as resolving it.

Until the manufacturer clarifies this, we do not recommend CL 201 for aluminium. Confirmation must relate to the correct product version, specific material and application conditions. A small-area trial alone does not resolve contradictory documentation.

What about painted or resin-coated surfaces?

We do not have confirmation that CL 201 is compatible with all paints, resins and other coatings. A general reference to floor or machinery cleaning does not establish this. The coating name, documentation and cleaning instructions are needed.

  • Specify the exact material and coating.
  • Check restrictions in the component's instructions.
  • Request confirmation of compatibility and application conditions.
  • Do not transfer instructions for steel to aluminium, or from one coating to another.

Product selection without guesswork

Describe the material and ask about CL 201 compatibility. Where information is missing, suitability remains unconfirmed. A reliable answer may require additional documentation rather than an immediate product recommendation.

Documentation and scope

Basis: the technical data sheet “ENYRUN CL 201 — Zmywacz alkaliczny” (without an issue date) and CL 201 safety data sheet version 9.02 of 27 September 2022. Before use, request current documentation for the supplied product. This guide helps prepare for product selection; it does not replace application instructions, the label or the safety data sheet.
